VOICE & DRAMA
A Class Act
Acting is about belief. Belief in your ability and in what you do.
It is about feeling. What we feel on the inside influences hugely the impression we give on the outside.
Acting is about confidence. If we feel confident, believe we are confident then...what is left? We are confident.
It is not about showing off - although performance is an important part of acting as we are all influenced by the people around us. Man is not an island (and all that).
The True Message
Our drama teachers concentrate on this one simple fact: At the centre, there must be truth.
No matter how you play a part; with humour, pathos, absurdity. If truth is in your heart, your audience will believe. If it isn't, they won't.
And that remains true whether your role is King Lear, Miss Marple or Bart Simpson.
It remains true if your role is selling, managing or running your own business.
