MOVIE MAKING - TRUE TEAMWORK
Create a Film in a Day
Or half a day or several days.
Film making is great fun and a true team building activity because everyone plays a part and all depend on each other.
Photography, directing, sound recording and of course, acting (or presenting).
The style can be that of a popular genre (Thriller, James Bond, RomCom, etc.) but equally, you can focus your team on a particular project or company message.
In the past, films have been made by teams on completion of a two year programme with the idea of showing them to colleagues embarking on that same programme. Others have used a film day to concentrate their minds on advertising their product and many have used the day to reverse status (junior staff taking on the role of director, etc.).
And don't forget, you have a copy of your film to take away.
Group Size and Screening
We have run film days for small and large groups with a duration of just 2-3 hours to 2-3 days. On rare occasion, we have had a 'holiday' period between the shooting and screening dates, although most are screened on the day they are shot.
WRITING - The first stage is to have a working script. We can supply this or teams can create their own. We provide writers to 'shadow' the teams.
SHOOTING - the next stage is to shoot the movie. We train your camera crews and help with casting, costume, directing and acting.
EDITING - Your team choose sound effects and music. Sometimes, team directors help edit but usually the group take a break (or return to their conference) as we edit the film. This has been done in an hour and a half but, in reality, we will use as much time as we are given. The editing is arguably the most important part of the day. If time is limited, consider using one of our 'edit in camera' solutions.
SCREENING - Everyone loves seeing their work. This can simply be on a TV screen but, ideally, you can watch the films on a giant screen in a themed dining room.
AWARDS - You don't need them (movie making isn't competitive) but it does round off the event if your hard work results in a classy trophy (or even a plastic Oscar).
DVD - If requested, everyone can have a copy of the films. Usually, we will be given a week or so to create these although we have managed to supply them in time for the delegates to have at breakfast, the morning after the screening.
